Reliance Industries shuts distillation unit at Jamnagar facility for 3 weeks

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries on Friday said it has shut a crude distillation unit at its only-for-export refinery at Jamnagar in Gujarat for about three weeks to do maintenance work.

In a regulatory filing, the company said the planned maintenance and inspection shutdown would be used for "replacement of catalyst and implementation of productivity improvement measures in some of the secondary processing units".

The shutdown is expected to be completed in the first week of March.
Three other crude distillation units at the Jamnagar refining complex are expected to maintain normal operations, it said.
